Whos for true variable Pricing on iTunes?

Apples announcement of a variable pricing module is a welcome one. However the meat and bones of it (69. 99, and 1.29) won't persuade me to resurrect the iTunes account I opened off the back of the gift of an iTunes voucher a few years ago.

What would get me mildly excited is true variable pricing; pricing determined by demand in real time (or at least semi-real time). The neo-classical, supply/demand stuff might be a little beyond the comprehension of ones average Joe Bloggs, but I think it would be great to see something that goes a bit further than Amie Street's approach to pricing.
